The Incarnate Word Academy Student Council organized a Christmas gift drive benefitting children receiving services at DePelchin Children’s Center. The student body, as well as parents, faculty and staff, bought gifts for 24 children at the center, totaling about 144 gifts that included Wii games, a bicycle, toys, clothes and gift cards. The student council delivered the gifts to the center’s warehouse recently.

Campus Minister Deena Wolf, who helped organize the project, said the drive “really had an impact on all of us.”

“Knowing that we are helping children who do not have parents and therefore will be spending Christmas without family, made us realize how blessed we are,” she said. “The students commented how good they felt and were excited to be a part of this project.”
