For West U residents who can’t make it to the joint West U and Bellaire Recycle Fest on Saturday, there are other opportunities to get rid of unwanted papers and e-waste.
Residents can protect themselves from Identity Theft, with free document shredding provided by SHRED IT and the city of West U. Residents can bring up to five banker boxes of documents to the West U Public Works Maintenance Facility, at 3826 Milton, on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. No business papers will be shredded.
It’s “Go Green Day” at Lakewood Church on Saturday, November 1, with a free electronics collections and recycling event for the community.
The event will be held at Lakewood Church between 8am-1pm. This is a great opportunity for residents and businesses to dispose of unused electronics, The church is located at 3700 Southwest Freeway. The drop-off for e-waste will be on Timmons Lane.
