Houston Metropolitan Dance Company Presents Free Performance At Miller Outdoor Theater

The Houston Metropolitan Dance Company will present a Summer Sampler of Dance at Miller Outdoor Theater in Hermann Park. The free performance will take place at 8:30 p.m. June 12.

 
Houston Met will reveal for the Miller audience the world premiere of a new work created for the company by choreographer Salim Gauwloos.  Other audience favorites from the Houston Met repertoire include:  Zoom by Pattie Obey; Jolt by Keisha Lalama-White, named one of the “25 to Watch” by Dance magazine in 2009; Chambre Noire by Nina Buisson; Stirring Simple Gifts in Shades of Blue by Caleb Mitchell; an excerpt of Not Yet Soaring (still confronting the ground) by jhon r. stronks; and for Houston Met Too, Release by Marlana Walsh Doyle.
