Friends of West U Parks Welcome New Board Members
The Friends of West U Parks recently welcomed three new members to its board of directors.
Kristine Martinez has been appointed to position four, Michelle Huth to position six and Grace Ebaugh to position 12. The West U City Council approved their appointments on Monday night.
All three new members said that they were interested in joining Friends because they wanted to give back to the community in which they live.
Martinez and her family moved into West U in October. She is a stay at home mom and has a four-year-old who loves playing at Colonial Park.
Huth is a 10 year residents of West U. She works for Frost Bank, which has been a major underwriter for Fathers and Flashlights and Park Lovers’ Ball. She has a five-year-old who loves Colonial park and the pool.
Ebaugh has lived in West U for eight years. She has two children ages three and five who like to play at Weir Park and Colonial Park. Ebaugh is an attorney with Andrews Kurth LLP.
“We’re always excited to have new park ambassadors to reach out into the community,” Friends Executive Director Donna LaMond said. “We don’t want anybody not to know about the Friends of West U Parks.
