Floating History Lesson On Buffalo Bayou
Next week a handful of lucky adventurers will get to participate in a floating history lesson that will teach about the Buffalo Bayou and surrounding areas.
The Buffalo Bayou History Presentation and Canoe Trip, hosted by the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, is limited to 12 participants. It includes a class on Dec. 3 at 6:30 p.m. and then the canoe trip on Dec. 5 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Some of the topics in the course include development of prehistoric trail roads, early settlements in the 16th and 17th centuries, and the lives and activities of early settlers.
