Emery/Weiner Winterim

Emery/Weiner students Sofia Tew, Andrea Hiller and Tamar Oren create papier-mâché piñatas during one of their Winterim classes, named “Crafty Mexico.” Winterim is a two-week period following winter recess where mini-courses are offered, such as gender studies, media literacy and more.  Students also participate in community service projects, and seniors complete career internships.
