Dope Left at Police Station, Person Screaming on Roof, Other West U Crimes
Burglary Motor Vehicle
At 9:05 pm, an officer was dispatched to a business located in the 3600 block of Rice in regard to a report of a burglary of a motor vehicle that had just occurred. Upon arrival, a vehicle was observed to have had one of its rear windows shattered. The owner of the vehicle advised that he was not sure if anything was taken during the incident.
Adult Screaming on Roof Taken to Hospital
At 10:09 pm, officers were dispatched to a multi-family residence in the 6500 block of Community in reference to an adult subject screaming on the roof of the residence. Officers arrived along with EMS personnel and were able to talk the resident down from the roof. The resident was transported to the hospital by EMS for further evaluation.
False 911 Report, Suspect Arrested
At 8:10 pm, an officer observed a suspicious vehicle on Kirby Drive matching the description of a vehicle that was observed fleeing a burglary of a motor vehicle scene on the previous day. When the vehicle occupants realized they were being followed by police they pulled into a gas station parking lot in the 2500 block of Bissonnet. The officers initiated surveillance on the vehicle. While on surveillance, police dispatch received a 9-1-1 emergency call regarding a possible home invasion at 3325 Bissonnet. 3325 Bissonnet does not exist and the 9-1-1 location service placed the caller in the parking lot where the suspicious vehicle was located. Contact was made with all four individuals who had lengthy criminal histories and gang affiliation. While speaking with them, dispatch conducted a call back which confirmed who the caller was. The suspect was charged with False Alarm or Report a Class A Misdemeanor. A second suspect was arrested on multiple City of Houston warrants. The remaining two suspects were identified, interviewed and released without charges. Within the vehicle officers recovered stolen property, from a Harris County Sheriff burglary of motor vehicle case.
Marijuana Left at Back Door of Police Station
On 06/14/2014, at 7:22 pm, an item that appeared to be a marijuana stem with multiple leaves was located on the police department back door electronic card reader. Item was secured into evidence for testing to determine if it is in fact marijuana.
