Dog Stolen From Pound, Other West U Crimes
Police Information Report
An officer was dispatched to the 4000 block of Arnold in reference to dogs at large. The Officer arrived and located both dogs. The Officer was informed that the dogs belonged to a neighbor and was able to secure the dogs on the property behind a secure gate. The Officer left the location and was later informed that one of the dogs had bitten a person. The Officer returned to the area locating the bitten individual. Information was obtained and a report was generated.
Burglary of a Building
At 11:33 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Animal Pound, 2800 block of N. Brasewood, in regard to a burglary of a building that already occurred. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the reportee who stated sometime between the date of 3/14/14 and 3/17/14 an unknown person(s) forced entry into the building and retrieved an animal without consent.
An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department to meet with a resident who was a victim of a fraud. The victim stated an unknown person used her personal information to obtain a loan with an online loan company. The officer generated the report and gave the victim a copy of the case number.
Police Information Report
At 6:47 pm, An officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Robinhood in regard to a report of an animal bite. The officer arrived on scene and was able to gather all the information needed, and observe/ speak with all parties involved. The victim displayed two red scratch/ scrape marks on his right lower back where he claimed to have been bitten. The animal (dog) showed no signs of aggression while on scene, and valid vaccination paperwork was presented, as well as registration papers. The West University Place Animal Control Officer will receive all of the valid information for further review and action.
Credit Card/Debit Card Abuse
An Officer with the city of West University Place police department was dispatch to the PD lobby to meet with a subject concerning fraudulent activity on his bank card. The Officer met with the subject obtaining required information. A case number was generated and the subject was provided with a business card.
Possession of Narcotics
An officer, was on uniform patrol in the area of 5500 Community. While on patrol, the officer saw a suspicious person. The officer contacted the suspicious person and found the subject to be in Possession of Marijuana. The subject was arrested and booked into the West University Place Jail for Possession of Marijuana.
