Deli-ghtful news: Kenny & Ziggy’s opening in West U area

December 17, 2015

West University residents will have an easier time satisfying their cravings for authentic New York-style deli starting in February — the target for Kenny & Ziggy’s New York Delicatessen Restaurant to open a second location, in the former Fish City Grill in the center located at Buffalo Speedway and Westpark.

CultureMap’s food editor Eric Sandler confirmed with Ziggy Gruber that he’s planning a 110-seat, three-meal-a-day smaller version of his wildly popular Galleria-area restaurant for the Park in the Plaza center, anchored by Kroger.

Gruber told Sandler that despite the three-mile distance between locations, he expects to attract a different customer base, including diners from Greenway Plaza and nearby communities who don’t want to fight Galleria-area traffic to get their fix of house-made corned beef, matzoh balls and cheesecake.
