Crime Report: Resident Stopped by Police with Car Full of Criminals

Traffic Violations

At an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound on the 6600 block of Buffalo Speedway fail to use its turn signal within 100 feet when turning. The vehicle was pulled over and stopped on the 6600 of Rutgers. The diver was subsequently arrested for operating the motor vehicle with no driver’s license and no financial responsibility on the vehicle.

Identity Theft

An officer was dispatched to the 3800 block of University, the WUPD lobby, in reference to an identity theft case. The complainant stated that an unknown person used his personal identifying information without his effective consent in order to file a tax return.

Burglary of motor vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the police department lobby in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle that occurred in the 3900 block of Ruskin. The victim stated that sometime between 8:00 on 4/14/13 and 730 hours on 4/15/13 an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle parked in his driveway and removed personal items without his effective consent.

Burglary of motor vehicle

At about 9:58 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the 2900 block of Rice blvd for a report of burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. The officer spoke with the victim who advised that their vehicle had been broke into by an unknown subject(s) sometime between 7:30 p.m. on 4/14/2013 to 6:30 p.m. on 4/15/2013 without the owner’s consent.

Weapons of Violations

An officer was following a suspicious vehicle when it came to a stop in a moving lane of traffic. A traffic stop was initiated and the occupants of the vehicle were identified. The driver had a suspended license and was arrested for driving while license invalid. The front seat passenger had a felony warrant out of Harris County and a gun in his front right pocket. He was arrested for the felony warrant and unlawful carrying weapon. The rear seat passenger had 2 warrants out of the Houston Police Department and was arrested for the warrants. All three persons have extensive criminal histories and were picking up a resident that lives in the 2600 block of Wroxton, who had no warrants and was released from the scene with no charges.
