Crime Report: Police Stop Driver for Loud Music, Find Narcotics

Lost property

At 11:50 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the police station in regard to lost property. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the complainant who advised that she was unable to locate her pistol. The complainant stated that she last saw her pistol within her residence in February 2013. The complainant stated on September 27, 2013 she attempted to locate the pistol but was unable locate it.



At 8:00 pm officers met with the victim at the West University Police Station to document a complaint of Identity Theft. It was reported that the victim observed an unauthorized transaction from his bank account for approximately $1,500.


No crimes reported.


Possession of controlled substance

At 21:21 am, a West University Place police officer stopped a vehicle in the 3100 block of Rice for loud music. While conducting the traffic stop, the officer discovered that the driver was in possession of narcotics. The driver was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
