Crime Report: Police Make Arrest for Public Intoxication, Urinating in Public and Indecent Exposure
On 7/26/2013, at 4:08pm, an officer was dispatched the 3800 block of University in regards to identity theft. The officer met with the victim, who stated in February of 2013 his tax return was lost in the mail and his social security number was compromised. The IRS and the victim have made arrangements and it is under federal investigation. The victim was advised from the credit bureau to file an official police report in order for the bureau to extend the fraud alert on the victim’s credit to 7 years.
On Sunday, 7-28-13, at 3:44 am, an officer witnessed a subject urinating in public in the 4200 block of Bissonnet. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the subject was intoxicated. The subject was arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct/urinating in public, and disorderly conduct/indecent exposure.
On Sunday, 7/28/2013, at 9:11 am, an officer was dispatched to the 6400 block of Sewanee in reference to a burglary of a habitation, which had already occurred. The victim stated an unknown person(s) made entry into the detached garage apartment without permission and took several work tools.
On Sunday, 07/28/2013, at about 6:47 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the 3500 block of Robinhood for a report of theft. An officer spoke with the victim who advised than an unknown person(s) had taken a FedEx package from their mailbox or front porch without their effective consent.
