Crime Report: Man Missing a Shoe Arrested for Public Intoxication
An officer was dispatched to the WUPD to meet with a subject (suspect) who was turning himself in for two outstanding warrants out of The City of West U. The officer took custody of the suspect and escorted him to the jail facility where he was booked and processed without incident.
An officer was dispatched to the 2900 block of Robinhood, in reference to a theft that had already occurred. The victim stated that she was expecting a package to be dropped off at her front door by ups on 12/21/12. She received a notification from ups stating that the package had been dropped off at 10:51 am at her front door. When she checked her front door at about 2:24 pm, there was no package sitting at her front door. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
Failure to stop and give information/minor accident
An officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of Lafayette regarding a minor accident / failure to stop and give information which had already occurred. Upon arrival, the officer met with the reportee, viewed the vehicle damage, and obtained the available information to complete the report. The officer provided the reportee with the case numbers assigned to the incident.
Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Rice blvd in reference to a noise disturbance. Officers arrived in the area and located a male walking on the sidewalk with a shoe missing. Officers made contact with the subject and after further investigation, determined that the subject was intoxicated. The subject was arrested for public intoxication and transported to West U jail for book-in.
Burglary of motor vehicle
At 7:42 pm, an officer was dispatched to the 5300 block of Mercer in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. The reportee stated an unknown person(s) smashed his rear driver’s side passenger window and removed his black leather briefcase without his consent.
Driving while intoxicated
At 3:14 am, an officer observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 2700 block of University Blvd. with a defective rear license plate light. A traffic stop was conducted in the 6300 block of Kirby and after further investigation the driver was arrested for the offense of driving while intoxicated.
No crimes reported.
An officer was dispatched to the WUPD lobby for a report of a forgery. The officer made contact with the complainant who said that on 12-20-12 and 12-21-2012, an unknown person(s) forged counterfeited checks and cashed them without permission.
