Crime Report: Local Students Lives Threatened over Internet

Terroristic Threats

An officer was dispatched to the WUPD in regards to terroristic threats. Upon arrival the officer spoke to the reportee who stated that an unknown person(s) threatened four of his students with their lives via internet. This case is under further investigation.

Theft

An officer was dispatched to the 3200 block University Blvd concerning a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival the officer met with the reportee who advised that a person(s) removed property from inside her residence without her permission. The officer obtained the information available and provided the reportee with the case number assigned to the incident.

Burglary of motor vehicle

At 7:45 pm, officers with the WUPD were dispatched to the 2600 block of Bissonnet in reference to a burglary of motor vehicle that had already occurred. Officers arrived and met with the complainant who advised that an unknown person(s) had entered his vehicle sometime between the hours of 5:15 pm and 7:44 pm. The complainant advised that his brief case and cell phones were taken from his vehicle without permission. Officers obtained the required information and filed a report concerning the incident.

Driving while intoxicated

At 11:43 pm, an officer observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 3600 block of University Blvd with a defective driver’s side headlamp. A traffic stop was conducted in the 6300 block of Edloe and after further investigation the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
