Crime Report: Kumquat Tree Stolen from West U Yard

Theft

At 10:11 am, an officer was dispatched to the 3700 block of Sunset in reference to a theft that had already occurred. Upon the officer’s arrival, the complainant stated an unknown person(s) removed a kumquat tree from her side yard without consent.

Fraud

An officer was dispatched to the WUPD in regards to a burglary of a motor vehicle and fraudulent activity. The officer spoke to the victim who stated that an unknown person(s) damaged the lock belonging to her vehicle’s driver side door and took her purse without her consent. The victim became aware of this incident when she noticed multiple fraudulent charges on her bank account which occurred on 04/11/2013. The victim stated she noticed the damage to the driver side lock on 04/16/2013.

Minor Accident/Failure to Stop and Give Information

At 3:25 pm, an officer was dispatched to the 6200 block of Mercer in reference to an accident that had already occurred. Upon the officers arrival, the complainant stated and unknown person struck her legally parked vehicle facing northbound and fled the scene without leaving any information.

Warrant Arrest

At 7:21 pm, an officer was dispatched to the 4700 block of Bellaire blvd, to meet with Bellaire Police Department officers, who had a subject detained for an outstanding warrant out of The City of West U. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the West University place jail, without incident, on that warrant.
