Crime Report: Fake Registration Sticker and a Stolen Cell Phone
At 7:22 am, a police officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 6000 block of Wakeforest with a defective brake light (right side). A traffic stop was initiated in the 2800 block of Rice and upon further investigation, it was discovered the driver was operating a motor vehicle with a tampered motor vehicle registration sticker and a tampered motor vehicle inspection sticker. The driver was arrested for tampering with a government record, motor vehicle inspection.
An officer was dispatched to the 6700 block of Westchester, in reference to a theft that had already occurred. The victim stated someone had taken his cell phone, during a visit at the public library, without his consent.
