Crime Report: Driver Arrested with Pot on Northwestern
Possession of Narcotics
At 8:56 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a malfunctioning brake light in the 3900 block of Northwestern. During the course of the traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver was in possession of marijuana. The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana.

At 9:03 am, an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 5300 block of Rutgers, which failed to signal prior to 100 feet. A traffic stop was conducted in the 3200 block of Albans. The driver told the officer he didn’t have a driver’s license and gave the officer his name and date of birth. It was later discovered the driver had given the officer a false name and date of birth, because the driver had a felony warrant out of Harris County. The driver was arrested for failing to identify fugitive from justice. It was discovered that the front right passenger had outstanding warrants out of the City of Houston and he was also placed into custody.
An officer was dispatched to the 3800 block of University in regards to lost property. The reportee stated she believes she may have misplaced her jewelry pendant, but does not know the exact location.
At 8:57 p.m. an officer was dispatched to police station at 3800 University for a report of criminal mischief that had already occurred in the 3800 block of Swarthmore. The victim stated that between 10:30 p.m. on 04/24/2013 and 4:00 p.m. on 04/25/2013 a known subject had caused damage to their vehicle without their effective consent by keying the vehicle.
