Crime Report: Crook Makes off with Merchandise from West U Business

Identity Theft

At 9:27 am, an officer was dispatched WUPD in regards to an identity theft. The victim advised an unknown person opened a credit card account using his personal information. It is unknown at this time where the account was opened. A report was generated for identity theft and is under investigation.


Burglary of Vehicle

At 10:10 am, an officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Centenary for a report of a burglary of a vehicle that occurred on 12-15-2012. An unknown person(s) entered the victim’s vehicle, which was parked inside the victim’s garage, and took the victim’s purse. It was discovered that the suspect(s) also used the victim’s credit card.



An officer was dispatched to the 5800 block of Kirby in reference to a theft. The officer met with the store manager, and he indicated a white male entered the store and ran out of the store with merchandise without paying for it. The white male was last seeing running northbound on Kirby.


Burglary of Habitation

At 7:00 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 3200 block of University in reference to a burglary of a habitation. The complainant stated that an unknown person entered his garage and removed a bicycle without his consent.
