Crime Report: Car Burglary Suspect Gets Away During Police Chase

An officer was dispatched to the WYPD lobby in regards to harassment. The officer met with the complainant who stated that his uncle (suspect) made a verbal threat towards him via the telephone. The officer later spoke to the suspect and requested for him to cease all forms of contact with the complainant in which he agreed to do so.


Burglary of motor vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the 3100 Block of Carnegie in reference to a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle that had already occurred. The Officer arrived and met with the complainant who stated that an unknown person had entered her vehicle and had taken her purse. The complainant stated that she had left the vehicle unsecured for approximately five minutes but had discovered the purse missing after leaving the area. A report was generated and the complainant was provided with a case number.


Warrant Arrest

At 1:25am an officer was patrolling the 5300 block of Kirby when he observed a suspicious vehicle in the alley way behind a closed business. Upon further investigation, one of the three occupants of the vehicle was found to have multiple open warrants for his arrest. The suspect was arrested and transported to the West University Place jail where he was booked without incident.


Burglary of Motor Vehicle

At 1:59am an officer was patrolling the 2700 block of University when he observed a burglary of a motor vehicle in progress in the 6300 block of Wakeforest. The suspect fled as the officer attempted to apprehend him. After an exhaustive search with assistance from multiple agencies the suspect could not be located.
