Crime Report: Burglars Break into Office Building on Bissonnet
At 10:04 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the intersection of Robinhood and Mercer for a report of a minor accident. The officer arrived on scene and spoke with the reportee and victim who observed a black sedan strike their parked vehicle and a trailer while trying to exit from the dead end. The vehicle continued and failed to stop and give information. A license plate number of the suspect vehicle was provided by the reportee and the officer was able to identify the driver and vehicle that caused the accident. No charges were filed in this case due to the victim not wanting to prosecute.
Burglary of a building
At 12:31 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Bissonnet to meet with a complainant in reference to a burglary of a building. Officers arrived and met with the complainant who advised that an unknown person(s) had forced entry into the office building located beneath her office on the 1st floor. The complainant advised that she heard some unusual noises approximately thirty minutes prior to calling the police. A report was filed in reference to this case.
At 2:17 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 6000 block of Annapolis for a report of criminal mischief. Officers met with the homeowner, who said that a few plants and the weather strip of a 2nd story window were damaged. Officers attempted to dust for fingerprints, but none were located.
