Crime Report: Burglars Break into House on Albans while Homeowners are Out of Town

Fraud 

At 08:56 am, officers were dispatched to WUPD for a report of fraud. The officers met with victim who said unknown persons used two of her credit card accounts without her permission.

Public Intoxication 

At 3:45 a.m. an officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Rice for a report of possible DWI driver. The officer arrived on-scene and met with officers from HPD who had a subject in their custody for public intoxication. They advised that a wrecker driver had called them to report the intoxicated subject. They discovered the 2600 block of Rice is located in the city limits of West U. The subject was arrested for public intoxication and transported to WUPD and booked.

Fraud 

At 10:48 am, an officer was dispatched WUPD in regards to a report of credit card abuse. The victim advised that an unknown person had used his credit card number in order to purchase several items in Chicago, IL. The victim advised that his credit card had not been stolen. A report for credit card abuse was generated.

Stolen Property 

At 5:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to WUPD in reference to stolen property and burglary of a vehicle. Officers met with the complainant who advised that his vehicle was burglarized in March 2012 after returning home from work. The complainant advised that the only item missing was a firearm that he had left in the vehicle. The complainant stated that he did not report the firearm stolen back in march due to the fact that he did not have the serial number to the firearm. The complainant stated that he had just obtained the required information and wanted to file a report.

Burglary of a Habitation 

At 08:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of Albans to meet with complainants in reference to a burglary of a habitation. Officers arrived and met with complainants who advised that an unknown person(s) had entered into their residence while they were out of town for the weekend. Complainants advised that one of the items missing was the jewelry from her jewelry box.
