Crime Report: Bicycle Stolen from Garage on Sunset
An officer was dispatched to the Bank of Texas located at 5500 Kirby in regards to fraud. Upon arrival the officer spoke to the bank manager who stated that someone (suspect) attempted to cash a forged check and was unsuccessful in doing so. The bank manager advised that one of the tellers kept his driver’s license along with the forged check. The officer confiscated the suspect’s driver’s license along with the fraudulent check.
Driving while license suspended
At 12:27 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Rice for no front plate on a vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver had a driver’s license with a not eligible status, and could not prove valid insurance for the vehicle. The driver was arrested for driving while license invalid, a class b misdemeanor.
Burglary of building
Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Sunset in reference to a bicycle that had just been stolen out of a garage. Officers arrived in the area to attempt to locate the suspect but were unable to. The victim stated that a male suspect walked up her driveway and removed a red bicycle from her garage without her effective consent. The officer collected the information and completed a burglary of a building report.
