Council To Hold 8:30 a.m. Meeting Monday To Canvass Election Results

May 15, 2009

West U. Council will hold an unusual 8:30 a.m. meeting Monday morning, May 18, to canvass the votes of the May 9 election. Until the votes are canvassed, the results of the election for city council – Bob Fry, George Boehme, Steven Segal and Chuck Guffey – are unofficial.

Council was originally scheduled to meet May 25, but state law requires votes to be canvassed no later than the 11th day after the election.

Also on the agenda is a report by Police Chief Ken Walker on the Neighborhood Watch Program.
