Council To Discuss Using Local Businesses For Procurement Practices, Tree Protection
During its special session at 5:30 p.m. tonight, West U City Council will discuss encouraging local businesses for the city’s procurement practices.
Council may decide to give first consideration to local businesses for the city’s procurement practices and may vote on the matter during its regular session at 6:30 p.m.
Council will also discuss the city’s tree ordinance and tree protection. Council may vote on the tree protection ordinance during its regular meeting.
Other items to be discussed during the special session include matters related to recreation fees and the exhaust fan at the recreation center.
During its regular session at 6:30 p.m., council may approve a resolution allowing the consumption of alcohol at Colonial Park Pool for an event on Sept. 26.
Friends of West University Place Parks are requesting a waiver to serve beer and wine at an event honoring outgoing Friends Chair Joni Fichter.
