West U Residents Can Now View Proposed 2012 Budget Online
The City of West U proposed 2012 budget is now available online for residents to view.
The West U City Council is expected to schedule a budget public hearing tonight during its meeting at 6:30 p.m.
The proposed budget accounts for $29,783,050 in revenues and $32,144,973 in expenditures.
Council met on Saturday to discuss “matters related to city finances, facilities, programs, 2011 tax rate and the 2012 budget including revenues and expenditures for current and future years for all funds, and capital improvements, priorities and related programs and expenditures, including, but not limited to, recreation facilities, parkland and other park projects, city facilities, drainage and flood control, traffic and parking and other public improvements, and employee benefits,” according to the agenda.
Council is expected to adopt a tax rate and a budget on Oct. 24. The city manager is currently proposing a tax decrease for the 2012 budget.
Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the council chamber, 3800 University Blvd.
