Cleaning Up Those Christmas Decorations

January 4, 2010

The city welcomes West University Place residents to leave their Christmas trees by the curbside until Jan. 15 to be collected for recycling.

The trees will be shredded for mulch. Because the city cannot shred any type of decorations, any tree that still has ornaments, lights, stands or other objects cannot be recycled. Instead, the city will take these trees to the landfill.

For more information call the Public Works department at (713) 662-5839.
