City of West University Place Named Top Workplace

November 13, 2012

The City of West University Place has been selected as one of the Houston Chronicle Top Workplaces.

The Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback.

West University Place is a municipal government with 125 full-time employees who say that the city is a great place to work because of team spirit among employees, outstanding benefits, and the opportunities for growth and development.

“We really have a great group of employees the city is honored to receive the award especially knowing it comes directly from the employee surveys,” City Manager Michael Ross said.

The survey was conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. WorkplaceDynamics conducts regional Top Workplaces programs with more than 30 major publishing partners and recognizes a national list of Top Workplaces. Over the past year, more than 4,500 organizations and one in every 100 employees in the U.S. have turned to Workplace Dynamics to better understand what’s on the mind of their employees.

The Houston Chronicle published the complete list of Top Workplaces on Sunday, Nov. 11. To view West U’s entry, visit
