City Gets Ready to Launch ‘Click West U’
The City of West U is getting ready to launch a new software system that will improve customer service between residents and city staff.
The city is getting ready to launch “Click West U,” a new software system that will allow staff to better manage, track and respond to internal services and resident requests. The new customer service program is expected to kick off on Oct. 15.
“I look forward to joining you as we embark on a new era of improved customer service for the City of West University Place,” City Manager Michael Ross said in an e-mail to city staff.
With Click West U, all employees will be able to confidently assure residents that their requests for services will be promptly addressed with the ability to connect with the city hall in a variety of ways.
Click West U is a “Citizen Relationship Management” (CRM) program that every employee can access through any Internet browser.
When the city is contacted by a resident, visitor or business representative, whether in person, on the phone, in a letter or by e-mail, the request can be easily entered into an electronic form from any computer. Online access is also available for residents to enter their own requests for service directly from the city’s website.
Requests may also be entered by employees or residents by using a free mobile application for the iPhone, iPad or Android mobile phone. Blackberry, Palm and other web enabled devices can browse a mobile web version of the website.
The city is teaming with Government Outreach, the firm that developed Click West U, to implement the program.
