Church Hosting Open House With Music, Outdoor Labyrinth
Flowers, greenery and sunshine bring a sense of new growth and optimism at this time of year. St. Luke’s Center for Counseling and Life Enrichment is inviting people to Celebrate the season by walking through the outdoor labyrinth created by hedges in the center’s garden at 2719 Joanel.
The Spring Open House will take place on Sunday, April 18 from noon to 2 p.m. Community partners, supporters, old and new friends will enjoy live instrumental music, refreshments, a tour, special spring centerpieces provided by Thompson Hanson — and some surprises during the Spring Open House at Westheimer Road and Edloe Street.
The Center has brought hope to individuals and the community through referrals, counseling, speaker events and special conferences for two years. Ongoing opportunities include topical self image and parenting groups for adolescent teens and parents, a free job counseling workshop offered weekly, speaker series on topics ranging from handling online dating issues to various addictions.
