Children Compete In ‘Best Tasting Lemonade Contest,’ Saturday
The Houston Children’s Museum, 1500 Binz, will be lined with lemonade stands, competing for the best tasting lemonade on Saturday.
The “Best Tasting Lemonade Contest” gives kids the chance to create their own recipe to serve at the contest. Children must be accompanied by an adult and bring all of the items necessary to make their version of the “best lemonade.”
Prepared 4 Life, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the empowerment of middle-school-age children, is hosting the event and will provide only the cups for the lemonade.
The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday with registration and the booth load-in on Crawford Street. Booths must be no bigger than 4 feet wide and 3 feet deep. Lemonade will be served from 10 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. An award ceremony for the “best tasting lemonade” will take place at 11:15 a.m.
There will be no power available to contestants and no staff assistance. Children are responsible for taking lemonade home with them after the event.
