Children’s Museum Offers Fourth Of July Activities
Fourth of July celebrations begin tomorrow at the Children’s Museum, 1500 Binz, and will culminate with an Independence Day Celebration and Kid-only Parade at 2 p.m. July 4.
Beginning 10 a.m. July 1, the museum will offer several ongoing activities: Independence Day fireworks, where children can make their own pretend fireworks; stars and stripes patriotic artwork, where participants can design an American flag using quilt squares that have stripes and stars; eagle decorations and an exploration into fireworks.
At 2 p.m. July 4, the museum will host their children-only parade, where children can join the 12-piece drum core The Lone Star Steppers, hold an American flag and march down Kidtropolis USA to the courtyard. Participants will say the pledge of allegiance and sing the National Anthem, which will culminate with an explosion of soda geysers.
