Chevron Houston Marathon Runs through West U

Despite the cold and rainy weather, West U residents came out to cheer on the runners who came through the city today for the Chevron Houston Marathon.

The marathon course traveled west along University Boulevard from Kirby, turning north on Weslayan to Bissonnet. Streets were closed today from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Chevron Houston Marathon ranks among the world’s best races. This weekend, 25,000 runners were expected at the start lines of three races, representing every state in the U.S. and more than 20 countries.

The marathon runs through West U every year.
