Challenger Baseball Team Takes Field with St. John’s, Bellaire Buddies
After a break for Easter/Passover weekend, the Challenger Baseball teams took to the field for Game 3 of the 2012 season.
With cloudy skies, the rain held off so each child could take a turn at bat and in the field.
St. John’s School baseball teams assisted as special buddies while the Bellaire High School Corral Choir, under the direction of Amy Solberg, sang the National Anthem.
Pastor Shannon Tanner from West U Baptist & Crossover Church gave the invocation, West U Rotarians worked in the concessions stand, and National Charity League girls, once again, brought goody bags for each player.
Buddies and volunteers were there to help make the day special for all.
Games will be held on April 22, April 29, and May 6 at 2 p.m. at the West U Little League main campus for the remaining games of the season.
