April 5, 2010

With sunny, blue skies, the Challenger Baseball team of West University Little League started its 6th season on March 28. The game started with an invocation, the national anthem and a ceremonial first pitch. The bleachers were crowded with family, friends, and fans to cheer on the special players.

The Challenger program has grown from 48 players and about 100 buddies in 2005 to 120 players and over 250 buddies this season.

Games will continue each of the following Sundays at 2:00 p.m.:  April 11, April 18, May 2, May 16, and May 23 and at 1:30 p.m. on April 25.  On May 23, Randy Bullard and the West U. Rotarians will host a Bar-B-Que at  the Season End Celebration for all Challenger families. For more information, visit
