Car Stolen From Houston Found In West U.
The front of a home in the 3700 block of Nottingham was egged on Dec. 7. A criminal mischief report was filed.
West U. police recovered a car stolen out of Houston after a resident in the 5400 block of Community reported an abandoned vehicle parked in the street on Dec. 8. The Houston Police Department confirmed the stolen vehicle, and towed the car to storage.
A resident in the 2600 block of Barbara Lane reported debit card abuse on Dec. 8. The resident told police that his debit card had been cancelled, and new cards and a new pin number had been obtained by an unknown person. Numerous unauthorized charges were made on his checking account.
A set of golf clubs was stolen from a resident’s garage on Dec. 10 while the resident went back inside to retrieve some items. The clubs were stolen some time between 9:35 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. from a home in the 6500 block of Belmont.
A driver traveling 51 mph in a 35 mph zone was arrested after telling officers he did not have a Texas Driver’s license. The driver was also cited for speeding.
Police were dispatched on Dec. 11 to a domestic disturbance in progress in the 2800 block of Plumb. One of the residents involved was taken to the hospital for a self-inflicted wound. The resident later returned to the house, and was arrested for public intoxication.
A driver in the 6900 block of Stella Link was arrested at 1:03 a.m. Dec. 12 after failing to perform a battery of field sobriety tests. The driver was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Tools were reported stolen from a job site on the 6300 block of Brompton around 8:42 a.m. Dec. 12.
A resident in the 6600 block of Sewanee told police on Dec. 12 that at some point between 5 p.m. Dec. 9 and 2:35 p.m. Dec. 10, someone hit her car on the driver’s side and knocked off the outside mirror.
On Dec. 12, police were called to the 3700 block of Nottingham in reference to a solicitor. Police located a man matching the caller’s description, and he was arrested for soliciting without registering with the city.
A resident came to the police station on Dec. 12 to report stolen credit cards that were used to purchase items at several stores.
Police pulled a driver over in the 5600 block of Auden after noticing the vehicle blocking an intersection and lacking brake lights. The driver was arrested for driving without a license.
The center caps from the rims of a vehicle in the 4000 block of Bellaire were reported stolen on Dec. 13.
A car in the 6600 block of Buffalo Speedway was reported burglarized around 11:53 p.m. Dec. 13, and multiple items were stolen.
