Warrant Arrest

At 6:14 am, an officer was dispatched to 1201 Commerce to meet with Harris County jailors who had a prisoner in custody with warrants out of The City of West U. The officer took custody of the prisoner and transported her to the WUPD jail without incident.

Identity Theft

At 9:26 am, an officer was dispatched to the 3800 University Blvd, the in regards to an identity theft. The victim advised an unknown person opened multiple credit card accounts using his personal information. A report was generated for identity theft and is under investigation.

Credit Card/Debit Card Abuse

At 10:45 am, an officer was dispatched to 3800 University in reference to an identity theft / credit card fraud call. The victim advised an unknown person(s) used his personal information to open a credit account through best buy, and made a purchase for $3,368.67. Information was gathered and a report was generated.

Identity Theft

At 10:46, an officer was dispatched to the 3500 block of Georgetown for a report of identity theft. On arrival, the officer met with the victim, who said that they were informed by a used car dealership that someone was attempting to purchase a vehicle using their personal information for credit.

Burglary of Habitation

At 10:21 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 6600 block of Wakeforest for an unknown disturbance. The officers arrived on-scene and were advised that an unknown subject had stolen a bicycle from a resident’s garage. The bicycle was recovered in the 6600 block of Wakeforest and returned to the owner. Officers canvassed the immediate area but no subject could be located fitting the description given by the victim.

Warrant Arrest

An officer was dispatched to the 3900 block of the Southwest Freeway to make contact with an HPD officer who had a suspect with warrants out of The City of West U. The officer took custody of the suspect and transported her to The West U police department where she was booked into jail without incident.

Warrant Arrest

An officer was dispatched to the Harris County jail facility located at 1201 Commerce to pick up a subject (suspect) who had warrants with The City of West U. Upon arrival the officer met with one of the on duty staff at Harris County and was able to take care and custody of the suspect. The suspect was then transported along with his personal belongings to The WUPD jail facility where he was booked and processed without incident.

Criminal Mischief

At 10:42 am, an officer was dispatched to the 3900 block of Riley in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. The victim stated an unknown person/object smashed the rear driver’s side window of her vehicle that was legally parked westbound in the roadway. After further investigation, the vehicle was secured at the time the smashed window was discovered and nothing was missing from the vehicle. A report for criminal mischief was generated.

Driving While License Suspended

An officer observed a 4 door passenger vehicle stopped at the traffic signal southbound in the 6000 block of Buffalo Speedway at Rice Blvd with an expired inspection certificate. A traffic stop was conducted in the 3200 block of Amherst and after further investigation, the driver was arrested for the offense of driving while license invalid.

Driving While Intoxicated

At 12:27 am, an officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the 5700 block of Buffalo Speedway. The officer activated his radar which indicated that the vehicle was traveling at 41mph in a posted 30mph zone. The officer activated his emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop in the 5200 block of buffalo speedway. The vehicle came to a stop in the 5100 block of Buffalo Speedway. The driver was later arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Criminal Mischief

An officer was dispatched to a residence located in the 6100 block of Annapolis in regards to a criminal mischief that may have occurred between the time frame(s) of 03/23/2013 and 03/27/2013. The officer spoke to the complainant who stated that an unknown person(s) caused damage to passenger window of his vehicle while his vehicle was parked on the roadway in the 6100 block of Annapolis.

Driving While Intoxicated

At 2:08 am, an officer, observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the 6500 block of Buffalo Speedway. The officer activated the radar which indicated that the vehicle was traveling at 41mph in a posted 30mph zone. The driver of the vehicle was later arrested for driving while intoxicated and a blood warrant was obtained.

Driving While Intoxicated

An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the 6500 block of Buffalo Speedway. The officer initiated a traffic stop and upon further investigation discovered that the operator of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol and in possession of two weapons. The operator was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated /unlawfully carrying weapons x 2.
