Burglary of Motor Vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Tangley concerning a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. The officer provided the reportee with case number assigned to the incident.

Burglary of a Motor Vehicle

While on routine patrol in the 5800 block of Fordham, an officer observed the driver’s side door of a vehicle slightly ajar. In checking the vehicle, the officer observed that the vehicle had been rummaged through. The officer made contact with the owner of the vehicle and obtained the necessary information to complete the report of a burglary of motor vehicle. The officer provided the owner with the incident number assigned to the incident.

Burglary of a Motor Vehicle

An officer was dispatched to a residence located in the 4200 block of Sunset in regards to a burglary of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival the officer spoke to the complainant who stated he parked his vehicle in his driveway. Once the complainant walked out to his vehicle the complainant observed that the center console and glove compartment were left in an open position. The complainant also advised that his car stereo was removed from the vehicle. The complainant advised that no other items were taken during the time of this incident.

Criminal Mischief 

An officer responded to the 4200 block of Law in reference to a report of criminal mischief. It appears an unknown person(s) had attempted to gain access to the victim’s vehicle and in doing so causing damage to the victim’s front driver’s side door. According to the victim no personal items were moved or missing. It appears no entry was made into the victim’s vehicle.

Attempted Auto Theft 

An officer was dispatched to a residence located in the 6500 block of Community for a report of a burglary of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival the officer spoke to the complainant who stated he parked his vehicle in front of his residence on the roadway near the curb. The complainant walked to his vehicle and observed that the bottom compartment to the steering column was removed. The complainant advised no items were taken during the time of this incident. Upon further investigation it was determined that the suspect(s) attempted to take the vehicle without the complainant’s consent.

Forgery

At 2:25p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Bank of Texas located in 5500 block of Kirby Dr. Concerning an on-going attempt to pass a forged check. Upon arrival, the officer met with the reportee who advised that two subjects attempted to pass forged checks at their bank. The officer obtained the necessary information to complete the report and provided the reportee with the case number assigned to the incident.

Burglary of a Motor Vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the WUPD lobby at 3800 University blvd to meet with a complainant concerning a burglary of a motor vehicle. The victim advised an unknown person(s) forced open the front driver side door and entered his vehicle. The victim stated his vehicle was rummaged through and personal property was taken.

Attempted Auto Theft 

An officer was dispatched to a residence located in the 4200 block of Case in regards to a burglary of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival the officer spoke to the complainant who stated that an unknown person(s) entered his vehicle and removed the bottom compartment to his vehicle’s steering column without his consent. No items were taken during the time of this incident. Upon further investigation it was determined that the suspect(s) attempted to take the vehicle without the complainant’s consent.

Theft

An officer was dispatched to 5600 Kirby concerning a theft from a business. The reportee advised a female subject was caught on video recording stealing a bracelet. The female subject left the place of business prior to WUPD being contacted.
