Burglaries on Robinhood and Lake Streets
Possession of drug paraphernalia
At 9:30 am, an officer observed a passenger vehicle traveling in the 4200 block of Bissonnet with an expired safety inspection certificate, 02/13. A traffic stop was conducted in the 3900 block of Northwestern and after further investigation the driver was issued citations for possession of drug paraphernalia, minor in possession of tobacco, and expired inspection.
At 3:20 pm, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police department in reference to a theft that had already occurred. Upon the officer’s arrival, the complainant stated an unknown person removed his white button down shirt from the men’s locker room area located inside the West University place recreational center.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling with no front license plate 3500 block of Rice. The officer initiated a traffic stop and upon further investigation discovered that the operator was in possession of a fake motor vehicle inspection sticker. The operator was arrested and charged with fictitious/altered motor vehicle inspection sticker.
At 4:24 pm, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in reference to a case of lost property. The complainant stated she lost her Texas driver’s license sometime between 11/1/13 at 8:30 pm and 11/2/13 at 4:30 pm.
Driving while license suspended
At 3:37 pm, an officer observed a passenger vehicle traveling southbound in the parking lot of jack in the box, located in the 3900 block of Bellaire Blvd, towards the exit at Bellaire Blvd without a registration certificate attached to the inside of the front windshield. A traffic stop was conducted in the 4000 block of Bellaire Blvd and after further investigation the driver was arrested for the offense of driving while license invalid.
Burglary of habitation
An officer was dispatched to a burglary of a habitation that had already occurred in the 2800 block of Robinhood. The officer arrived and met with the reportee who stated that sometime between 7:30 hours and 4:30 hours on 11/8/13 an unknown suspect(s) entered his residence and removed personal items without his effective consent. The officer collected information and evidence and completed a report.
Burglary of motor vehicle
At 3:56 pm, an officer was dispatched to the 6100 block of Lake in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. The complainant stated and unknown person(s) damaged his driver’s side door lock, made entry into the vehicle, and removed a black backpack containing an apple Ipad.
