Bloody Drunk, Cop Catches Burglar Cold, Other West U Crimes
At 8:46 am, an officer was dispatched to the 5900 block of Buffalo Speedway in reference to a theft of copper from a new residence under construction. Upon the officer’s arrival, the reportee stated an unknown person(s) removed the electrical copper wiring from various locations throughout the residence.
Railroad Track Runner
At 4:18 pm, an officer was dispatched to the railroad tracks behind a residence located in the 5400 block of community in reference to a welfare check. Upon the officer’s arrival, the officer attempted to make contact with the individual. The individual refused to speak or come to the officer and fled north bound on the railroad tracks. The officer attempted to continue to make contact with the individual without success. The Houston Police Department and union pacific railroad authority were advised.
Bicycle Stolen From West University Elementary School
An officer was dispatched to the 3900 block of Oberlin in reference to a theft. The officer met with the complainant who stated that sometime between 5/22/14 at 6:30 pm and 5/23/14 at 07:30 am an unknown suspect removed her daughters bicycle from a bicycle rack at West U Elementary School without her effective consent. The officer collected information for the report and entered the stolen bicycle into NCIC.
Stolen Lawn Equipment
An officer, was dispatched to 6130 Kirby in reference to a lapsed burglary of a building. Upon arrival, the officer was contacted by the reporting party who advised that lawn equipment had been removed from the garage without the permission of the owner.
An officer was dispatched to the 2800 block of Albans in reference to found property. The officer arrived and met with the complainant who stated that his daughter found an Ipad at the intersection of Sunset and Wakeforest at 7:30 pm on this date. The officer collected the Ipad for submission into the West University Place Police evidence room for safe keeping.
At 7:45 pm, an officer, was dispatched to the 4200 block of Bissonnet in reference to a Burglary. Upon arrival, the officer investigated further and found that someone had forced entry into the residence. The officer searched the residence and found evidence allowing him to identify a suspect. An officer had already arrested the suspect on 05/11/14 for unrelated charges. The new charges were added to the suspect’s pending charges and the suspect remained in the Harris County Jail.

Officers responded to a business burglary in the 5300 block of Kirby Drive. The Officers discovered that the business was burglarized between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00am. Several items were missing.
An Officer was dispatch to the West University Police Department lobby to meet with a subject concerning fraudulent activity on his bank card. The Officer met with the subject obtaining required information. A case number was generated and the subject was provided with a business card
Arrested for Suspended Licence
An Officer observed a vehicle traveling westbound with expired registration/inspection in the 4200 block of Bissonnet. The Officer initiated a traffic stop in the 4300 Block of Bissonnet on the vehicle. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the driver was driving on a suspended license. The driver was arrested and charged with the offense of driving while license invalid.
Stolen Identity to File for Tax Refund
At 10:51 am, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police department in reference to a case of identity theft. The victim stated an unknown person(s) used his personal identifying information to E-file a fictitious IRS income tax return.
Bloody Drunk Arrested
At 11:26 am, an officer observed a subject slumped over with bloody hands seated on a small brick wall in the 5300 block of Kirby. The officer stopped and conducted a well fare check to see if the subject was in need of assistance. The subject was given medical attention, but refused any further treatment and/or transportation to the hospital. During the contact the officer found to subject to be intoxicated and unable to be safely released from the scene. The subject was later placed in custody for public intoxication.
Arrested for Suspended Licence
At 1:52 pm, an officer observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 4200 block of Bissonnet with an expired motor vehicle inspection certificate. A traffic stop was conducted in the 4400 block of Bissonnet and after further investigation the driver was arrest for the offense of driving while license invalid.
Cop Catches Burglar Cold
An officer discovered an unknown subject had unlawfully entered a home at 4200 block of Bissonnet. An officer checked the residence and found someone inside of the home. The suspect inside the residence fled on foot. Charges were filed on the male suspect for Evading Arrest and Burglary of a Habitation.
Arrest for Outstanding Tickets
At 6:16 am, an officer was dispatched to the Houston Police Department southeast jail to pick up an individual with warrants with the City of West University Place. Upon the officer’s arrival, the individual was placed in custody and transported to the West University Place Police department jail for booking.
