Bicycle, Skateboard Stolen From Front Yard

A bicycle and a skateboard were stolen from the front yard of a home in the 6600 block of Westchester some time between 8 p.m. Oct. 11 and noon Oct. 12.

A driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the vehicle weaving in and out of lanes around 2 a.m. Oct. 13 in the 6600 block of Buffalo Speedway.

On Oct. 13, a resident who no longer wanted a gun she owned turned the revolver over to police at the station. The serial number was checked to make sure the gun was not stolen. The gun was clear, and is in the West U. Police station’s evidence storage room.

A resident came to the police station on Oct.15 to report assault of a child by the child’s caretaker. The incident is under investigation.

A resident reported to police on Oct. 16 that between July and October of this year, someone spent $8,000 on her debit card without her permission. The incident is under investigation.

A home in the 2600 block of University Boulevard was broken into and property stolen on Oct. 17. The burglary was reported around 8:26 p.m., and is under investigation.

A woman who had reported her 16-year-old child missing to the Houston Police Department called West U. police to inform them her child was found in the 5500 block of Community. Police arrived at the home, and found the child, who was turned over to his mother.

A building in the 4000 block of Byron was reported burglarized around 4:40 p.m. Oct. 18. The incident is under investigation.
