Bayou City Concert Musicals Present ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’
Bayou City Concert Musicals will present “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” on Thursday, Sept. 9.
“Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” takes place in the 1920s during the flapper era when two girls board a ship on a journey to Paris.
Some of the songs featured in the musical include “Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend,” “Bye Bye Baby,” “A Little Girl From Little Rock,” and “It’s High Time.”
The musical will open on Thursday, Sept. 9 and will play through Sunday, Sept. 12.
Performance times for the staged concert version are Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 10 at 8 p.m., Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. and Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at The Heinen Theatre, 3517 Austin at Holman in Midtown.
The production is directed by Paul Hope, with Art Yelton as Musical Director, Krissy Richmond as Choreographer and Dominique Royem as the Conductor.
BCCM is funded in part by a grant from the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance.
Single tickets are priced at $25 to $35 for “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.”
