Arbor Day Brings New Tree For West U. Corner

March 29, 2010

West University Place city leaders on Saturday gathered at the corner of Edloe Street and University Boulevard to plant a new Monterey Oak tree as part of the city’s Arbor Day festivities. The city chose a Monterey Oak because it resists disease and adds to the diversity of the West U. tree canopy. The city also handed out 50 free trees to lucky residents.
