Along with Spraying, West U asks Residents to Help Minimize Mosquito Activity
The City of West U is reminding residents that city-wide mosquito sprayings occur every Monday through October for the 2012 season.
Sprayings are completed between the hours of 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. If the level of activity requires the need for twice a week spraying, second treatment will be performed on Thursday nights. The city will continue to monitor level of activity and adjust schedule as needed.
Residents are asked to help minimize mosquito breeding areas by doing the following:
• Remove/empty containers that can hold water, such as, flower pots, buckets, toys, and plastic swimming pools.
• Bird baths and pet water bowls should be changed at least twice a week.
• Keep rain gutters clean and free of debris to prevent standing water.
• Repair leaks in irrigation system to prevent moist/damp areas in yards.
Residents are asked to contact Gerardo Barrera at email@example.com or (713) 662-5395 with questions about West U’s mosquito spraying.
MSDS sheets are available upon request of the products used for treatment.
