Alley Theatre Appoints New Development Director
The Alley Theatre this week appointed a new development director, Nancy Giles, who was formerly an executive with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
“With over a dozen years of experience fundraising for a Houston performing arts company plus her experience leading development departments of other firms, Nancy brings an invaluable wealth of knowledge to the position,” said Managing Director Dean Gladden in a statement.
In her new role, Giles will lead staff in an effort to raise revenue through donations, and she will plan and implement development strategies for the theater.
“Over the years I have enjoyed attending performances at Alley and have sincerely enjoyed the exciting work of this tremendous Company,” Giles said in the statement.
Giles’ career in the non-profit sector spans over 15 years. At the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston she was responsible for revenue generation, marketing, partnerships and volunteer recruitment. Before that she was with the Houston Symphony for 10 years serving in a number of development positions.
