West U Police Seek Suspects in West U Armed Robbery

July 31, 2012

Crime Stoppers and West U PD investigators are hoping the public can help identify three armed suspects with guns who robbed a West U Radio Shack store on July 22, 2012.

It happened around 1:50 p.m. at a store in the 5800 block of Kirby, on the border of West University Place.

Police said the three suspects, two with pistols, barged into the store and announced that they were robbing the place.

Meanwhile, one of the victims inside the store called 911 and whispered, “robbery in progress.” Police said the suspects locked the door to the store and herded all of the customers into a back room.

While one suspects cleaned out the register, the other two demanded cash and valuables from the customers and employees. After the robbery, the suspects fled through a back security door into an alley behind the shopping center.

A witness reported seeing the suspects leave the scene in a tan-colored vehicle that was parked nearby.
The suspects were caught by surveillance cameras during the robbery. The video is posted on KHOU.COM.

A cash reward of up to $5,000 is available for information leading to an arrest in this case.
