At 10:13 am, an officer was dispatched the 4200 block of University in regards to a vehicle being vandalized over night with black spray paint on the driver’s side. The police officer generated a report of criminal mischief. No suspects were located at this time and the case is still under investigation.
Officers were dispatched to the area of the 4200 block of University in reference to multiple vehicles being vandalize with graffiti during the nighttime hours. At 8:29am an officer located a white colored vehicle with graffiti on its driver side door. The officer made contact with the owner to which she advised she would call the police department for a report later on in the day. At 12:21 pm, the officer was dispatched to meet with the resident for a report on criminal mischief (graffiti).
Driving while license suspended
At 4:55 am, officers were dispatched to 2600 Cason in reference to a vehicle that had crashed into a house. Officers arrived and after their investigation the driver was arrested for driving while license invalid.
Fail to ID
At 8:03 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired temporary license plates. During the course of the traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver provided a false name to the officer because he had open warrants. The driver was arrested for fail to identify fugitive.
Possession of Narcotics
An officer was on patrol in the area of 6500 Buffalo Speedway. The officer stopped a vehicle for no license plate light as required by law on a traffic stop. Upon further investigation the officer located marijuana and the subjects were arrested for possession of marijuana. The subjects were booked in the west university place jail.
Minor Accident / Failure to stop and give information
An officer responded to an accident that had already occurred. The officer was advised that the suspect had fled the scene. The officer arrived and began investigating the accident. The officer determined that the suspect could not have traveled far based on the extensive damages the parked vehicle had sustained. An immediate search of the area revealed a vehicle that contained extensive damage similar to the parked vehicle. The subject was transported back to the scene and after further investigation, was arrested for failing to stop and give information in connection to the accident.
