Crime Report: Several Drivers with Suspended Licenses Arrested

Driving While License Suspended

At 9:20 am, an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 6600 block of Buffalo Speedway with an expired safety inspection certificate. A traffic stop was conducted in the 6800 block of Buffalo Speedway and after further investigation the driver was arrested for the offense of driving while license suspended.

Driving While License Suspended

An officer observed a vehicle that had failed to stop at a designating stopping point at a stop sign in the 6100 block of Mercer. As the vehicle made a right turn on to Rice Blvd., the officer noticed that the driver did not have his seatbelt on. The officer initiated a traffic stop in the 3400 block of Rice Blvd on the vehicle. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the driver was driving on a suspended license and was also wanted for an outstanding warrant. The driver was arrested for the outstanding warrant and was also charged with the offense of driving while license invalid.

Driving While License Suspended

An officer, was on uniform patrol in a marked patrol unit traveling south on Buffalo Speedway in the 6000 block. The officer observed an improper left turn onto Buffalo Speedway from Rice. The officer stopped the vehicle for the offense and found that the driver had a suspended driver’s license. The vehicle was also found to be uninsured. The driver was arrested for driving while license invalid.

Warrant Arrest

At 1:32 am, an officer was dispatched to 1201 Commerce to pick up a subject with outstanding warrants with The City of West University Place. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the West University Place jail without incident.
