At 12:25 pm, police officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Bellaire in reference to a theft in progress. The complainant stated a white male, wearing a black sleeveless shirt and gray pants had stolen beer from inside the business and he was currently following the suspect. Police officers spoke with the complainant who stated he lost sight of the suspect.
At 11:302 pm, an officer was dispatched to the 6600 block of Rutgers in reference to a vehicle that was observed hitting curbs. An officer arrived in the area and located two subjects in the 6700 block of Rutgers and after further investigation determined that both subjects were intoxicated and posed a threat to themselves and the public if released. The subjects were arrested for public intoxication and transported to West University Place jail.
At approximately 10:49 am, an officer was dispatched to 1200 block of Commerce, in reference to taking custody of a subject who had four outstanding warrants with West University Place. The officer took custody of the subject and his property and transported him to the West University Place jail where he was booked in on the four warrants without incident.
At 4:00 pm, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place police department to meet with a concerned citizen. The officer met with the citizen and she stated she has been receiving phone calls from collection agencies along with collection letters in search for a person who they believed lives at her residence.
At 3:34 pm, a police officer was dispatched to 3800 University in reference to an identity theft call, which had already occurred. The victim stated unknown suspect(s) used his personal information to open several credit accounts without his permission.
