Crime Report: Traffic Stop Ends with Arrests for Traffic Violations, Narcotics

No Registration, No DL, Possession of Narcotics

An officer observed a green Pontiac with an expired inspection sticker. The vehicle was traveling southbound in the 6200 block Lake. The officer initiated the traffic stop in the 2600 block of University. After further investigation the driver was subsequently arrested for no driver’s license and the expired inspection sticker. The rear passenger was also arrested for possession of narcotics.

No DL, ICE Warrant

At 11:10 P.M., an officer observed a vehicle in the 3800 Block of University traveling west bound with no license plate lights. Officer initiated a traffic stop in the 6300 Block of College. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the driver did not have a driver’s license and also had an outstanding ICE warrant for arrest. The driver was arrested for the offense of driving without a driver’s license and held for the ICE warrant.

Forgery

At 7:16 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the police station to meet with a complainant in regard to several forged personal checks. The complainant advised that their caregiver, with intent to defraud them, forged several personal checks taken from their residence from 05/08/2013 to 06/11/2013. The checks were cashed by the caregiver at local banks.
