Crime Report: Numerous Residents Awaken to Find Vehicles Burglarized

Burglary of motor vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the 4200 block of Sunset in regards to a burglarized vehicle. The victim stated an unknown person(s) entered the unsecured vehicle without effective consent. No items were taken.

Burglary of motor vehicle

At 7:50 am, an officer was dispatched to the West university Place Police department in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle that had occurred sometime throughout the night time. Upon the officer’s arrival, the complainant stated an unknown person(s) rummaged through her unsecured vehicle and removed some of her personal property without her consent.

Burglary of motor vehicle

An officer was dispatched to a residence located in the 4200 block of Emory in regards to a burglary of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival the officer spoke to the complainant who stated he parked his vehicle on his driveway on 05/05/2013, at 6:00pm. On 05/06/2013, at 7:30pm, the complainant observed that his vehicle had been rummaged through. The complainant advised he is unsure if the vehicle was secure prior to this incident and is unsure if anything was taken from the vehicle.

Burglary of motor vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the 4200 block of Albans in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle, which already occurred. The officer spoke with the victim, who stated her husband parked her vehicle in their driveway and secured it at about 9:45 pm on 05/05/2013. On 05/06/2013 at 9:15 am she noticed her vehicle had been rummaged through. The victim inventoried her vehicle and found nothing had been taken.

Identity theft

At 12:06 pm, was dispatched to 2929 Sunset in reference to a case of fraudulent activity that had already occurred. Upon my arrival, the reportee stated an unknown person(s) opened a Verizon Wireless account using her husband’s personal identifying information.

Burglary of motor vehicle

At 2:37 pm. an officer was dispatched to the WUPD for a report of a burglary of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival the officer spoke to the complainant who stated she parked her vehicle on her driveway on 05/05/2013, at 5:00pm hours. The complainant advised that after she parked her vehicle she and her family were outside her residence until 10:00pm and afterwards proceeded to go inside her residence along with her family. On 05/06/2013, at 8:00am the complainant walked towards her vehicle and noticed it had been rummaged through. The complainant advised that her cell phone was taken from inside this vehicle during the time of this incident. The complainant also stated she is sure that her vehicle was secure prior to this incident.

Harassment

At 2:00pm, an officer was dispatched to the WUPD in regards to a harassment incident. The victim stated her ex boyfriend has been initiating communication with the said victim by telephone and /or electronically, and in the course of the communication, make an obscene remark.

Warrant arrest

At 9:23 pm, an officer was dispatched to the Harris County Jail to pick up a subject with warrants out of the City of West U. The subject was transported to West U and booked on those warrants without incident.

Warrant arrest

At 1:00 a.m., an officer was dispatch to the WUPD, to meet with an officer with Houston Police Department. The officer had a suspect in custody that had five outstanding warrants with the City of West U. The subject was taken into custody and booking in without incident.
